HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLY! You are welcome to arrive early to set up food, drinks, and decorations. We have one folding table for your use. WHAT IS SGRAFFITO? Sgraffito is a decorative technique used in art and architecture where a surface layer—colored slip or underglaze—is applied over a clay body and then scratched or carved through to reveal the clay beneath. This creates contrasting designs, textures, and intricate patterns. The word comes from the Italian "sgraffiare", meaning "to scratch." JOIN US FOR 2-3 HOURS IN THE STUDIO! Bring your own food and drinks and create something you'll love... a stoneware sgraffito tumbler! Jamie will provide instructions, demonstrations, and all the guidance needed to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. You'll have absolute creative freedom to customize your sgraffito tumbler any way you can imagine! Tumblers are premade on the potter's wheel right here in our studio and ready for your creative touch! Dimensions vary around approximately 3" wide x 4" tall with no handles. Choose from a selection of over 40 underglaze colors. Bring your own printed design, free-hand your carving, or choose from our selection of over 100 stencils. Open Studio time is available within 1 week for anyone needing more time. These projects will be take-home ready within 1-2 weeks after our studio applies the clear coat. Clay, tools, and glaze included. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Sunshine on Cedar is open right next door to the studio until 8:00pm serving food, beer, and wine. Place your order and they'll serve you in our studio! This reservation is for 4 people at $45 each (includes member's 10% discount). Additional guests (up to a total of 10) may be added on at the time of the event. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Depending on upcoming availability, missed sessions may not be refunded or rescheduled.
