Service Description

Reserved for students who have completed Homeschool Levels 1 & 2! After booking, please text Jamie to schedule a 15 minute Emerging Artist Orientation. We will get you set up with your personal bag of clay and storage space. Come in during Open Studio hours and/or meet up with other homeschoolers during Homeschool Club and let your creativity take the lead! This is a self-directed 6-week course where students can create and sell just about anything they can imagine; from functional pottery to world class, one-of-a-kind works of art! Includes up to 25 pounds of clay, storage space, tools, glaze, 2 kiln firings per project, and 3 months of show/retail shelf space for up to 5 items. No commissions will be taken by the studio; emerging artists set their own prices and receive 100% of all sales. Jamie will be in the studio every day but Mondays & Tuesdays, ensuring a safe and productive environment while encouraging independent creativity, exploration, artistic growth, and personal responsibility. Students under 18 attending Open Studio on Mondays or Tuesdays must have a guardian with them at all times. This emerging artist program provides students with opportunities to explore and develop their creative talents in a supportive environment, encouraging self-expression and confidence while nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through mentorship, hands-on experience, and exposure to professional practices, young artists will gain insight into potential career paths and grow both personally and artistically. This program also fosters community engagement and helps youth connect with peers who share their passions, inspiring collaboration and cultural exchange. The Emerging Artist Program may be repeated.
