Homeschool Level 2 (Recommend ages 8-17)

Service Description

RESERVED FOR PRIOR LEVEL 1 STUDENTS: SOFIA, LIA, GRIFFEN, LOGAN, PEYTON, ADDISON, ELLIE, MADDIE, CALEB, BRIAR, ELRIC, & NICHOLAS Build upon your handbuilding skills and create more complex ceramic projects! Level 2 will challenge students to create more complicated, higher-quality projects that require more structural integrity, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and direction following. Homeschool Level 2 is a 6-week session recommended for ages 8-17 that meets once weekly for 2 hours. Students will build upon techniques learned in Level 1 and create 4 more complex projects with a focus on structural integrity and surface detail techniques. Projects include a critter pot, floral wall tile, a sgraffito plate, and a double pinch pot sculpture. Creative freedom is always highly encouraged and supported! Open Studio hours are available for students who wish to spend more time on surface detail and glazing. All projects will be take-home ready within about 2 weeks after glazing. All glazing must be completed within 30 days of the 6th session. Clay, tools, and glaze included. All clay and glazes are nontoxic stoneware, so they are safe for food, the microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty and please bring your own hand towel! Level 2 may be repeated. Students who complete Level 2 are eligible to move on to Level 3. Upon completion of any level, all students are eligible to participate in our quarterly art exhibition and sale! Students who complete levels 1, 2, and 3 are eligible to participate in our Level 4 Emerging Artist Program! Ask Jamie for details :)
