Service Description

These 6 sessions provide a more experienced level of throwing with a focus on larger scale and more complicated forms such as berry bowls, chip & dip platters, donuts, stacking, closed-form lidded vessels, and throwing off the hump. A demonstration of a new form technique will be provided at the beginning of each session. Then throw anything you want for the remainder of the class. Students will have unlimited Open Studio time to work on greenware and glazing. Wheel time for trimming may be reserved. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions, you may reserve the wheel during Open Studio time for 2 hours, but the new form technique may not be demonstrated due to Jamie's other responsibilities in the studio. Level 3 may be repeated. Students who complete Level 3 are eligible to move on to Level 4... the Emerging Artist Program-- sell your work in our studio! All students are eligible for membership, and members receive 10% off all classes and workshops! Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty and please bring your own towel because you’ll need it! Clay, tools, and glaze included. All clay is stoneware, so projects are safe for food, the microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are nontoxic so they are safe for food, however, we are introducing some glazes that are not intended for food, so please choose your glazes accordingly!
