2-Day Pumpkins & Jack-o-Lanterns!

Service Description

Customize your own pumpkin or jack-o-lantern! Day 1 -- Saturday October 25th 5:00-7:00 (time may be extended to 8:00) Participants will be provided a pre-made clay sphere (approximately 5" x 5"), handmade on a potter's wheel right here in our studio. Jamie will provide references, instructions, demonstrations, and all the guidance needed to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. You may choose to carve, attach 3D features, and/or stamp with a variety of texture tools. Customize your pumpkin or jack-o-lantern any way you can imagine! The sgraffito technique may also be implemented with our selection of over 40 underglaze colors. Day 2 -- Saturday, November 15th 5:00-7:00 (this date can be rescheduled if needed) Return 3 weeks later to glaze, choosing from a selection of over 85 colors. These projects will be take-home ready by November 22nd (unless glaze date is rescheduled). Clay, tools, and glaze included. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food-safe, but a small selection are not, so participants will be guided to use glazes with discretion. Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty and please bring your own hand towel! Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Depending on upcoming availability, missed sessions may not be refunded or rescheduled. Sunshine on Cedar is open right next door to the studio until 8:00pm serving food, beer, and wine. You are welcome to bring your food and drinks into the studio.
