Date Night Handbuilding BYOB!

Service Description

Registration is $100 per couple ($50 per person) Couples will come together for two fun nights of creating custom slab mugs, bowls, vases, steins, pots, or luminaries! One project per person. SESSION 1 -- MAKE! Saturday, January 31st 5:30-7:30 Bring your own beverage and enjoy over 2 hours of studio time with step-by-step guidance and demonstrations by a seasoned pottery pro (Jamie!). You will build your own creations using your hands, pre-rolled slabs of clay, and a large variety of texture and carving tools to customize your projects any way you can imagine! SESSION 2 -- GLAZE! Saturday, February 21st 5:30-7:30 (glazing may be rescheduled for a later date if needed) After drying slowly and getting bisque-fired in the kiln, your projects will be ready to glaze. Choose from a variety of over 85 glaze colors and finish your project with your own touch of glaze magic! These projects will be take-home ready about 1-2 weeks after glazing. $100 registration per couple includes everything; clay, tools, glaze, instructions, and 2 kiln-firings. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food-safe, but a small selection are not, so participants will be guided to use glazes with discretion. Bring your own hand towel and wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty! Retail shops in the Cedar Street Bridge close at 6:00, but Sunshine on Cedar is open next door to the studio serving food, beer, and wine until 8:00. Place your order and they will serve you right in our studio! Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. Refunds will be limited to $50 per couple unless we can fill your seat.
