Service Description

Get your hands in clay to make something you'll love... a ceramic gnome! SESSION ONE Saturday, April 4th 5:00-8:00 Enjoy up to 3 hours in our vibrant studio creating with clay! A handbuilding professional will provide instructions, demonstrations, and all the guidance needed to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. You'll have absolute creative freedom to customize your gnome any way you can imagine! Clothes, accessories, and other accoutrements will be demonstrated at your request. Will your gnome be a fisherman, skiier, mechanic, bodybuilder, teacher, professional snacker, viking, or garden goddess? You decide! Projects will be limited to 10" tall and 5" wide. Unfinished work may be completed during our unlimited Open Studio hours within one week. SESSION TWO Saturday, April 25th 5:00-8:00 (glaze date may be rescheduled if needed) Return to glaze, choosing from our selection of over 90 colors! Depending on how much detail you paint, glazing may be completed in 1 to 5 hours. Unfinished work may be completed during our unlimited Open Studio hours within one week (this will delay pick-up date) These projects will be take-home ready by May 9th (unless participants postpone glazing). Clay, tools, and glaze included. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food-safe, but a small selection are not, so guidance will be provided when glazing. Sunshine on Cedar is open right next door to the studio until 8:00pm serving food, beer, and wine. Place your order and they will serve you right in our studio! Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. Refunds will be limited to $30 per person unless we can fill your seat.
