Kids Pumpkin Workshop Ages 7-17

Service Description

Kids ages 7 and up will make and glaze a ceramic pumpkin or jack-o-lantern! Younger kiddos may register with a registered parent or guardian who may help. SESSION 1 -- MAKE! October 3rd 3:00-5:00 Participants will be provided a pre-made clay sphere (approximately 4" x 4"), handmade on a potter's wheel right here in our studio. We'll provide the instructions, demonstrations, and all the guidance needed to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. Participants may choose to carve, attach 3D features, and/or stamp with a variety of texture tools. Customize your pumpkin or jack-o-lantern any way imaginable! SESSION 2 -- RETURN TO GLAZE! Schedule a glazing lesson in 3 weeks. Reserve your seats for the lesson on our website under GLAZE DAYS FOR NEW STUDENTS. Students may select from our collection of over 100 glazes! Glazing may be completed during Open Studio sessions, and all glazing must be completed by October 27th. NOTE: Projects will be ready between October 31st and November 11th, depending on when participants finish glazing. PICK-UP DEADLINE: November 14th Due to the high quantity of projects created in our studio hundreds each week!), projects not picked up by the deadline will be removed from the studio. Clay, tools, and glaze included. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food-safe, but a small selection are not, so participants will be guided to use glazes with discretion. We're looking forward to getting your kiddos' hands in clay! Refunds or credits for cancellations within less than 24 hours will not be issued (this includes gift certificate value). Refunds or credits for cancellations within 3 days of the event will be limited to $30 per person unless we can fill your seat (this includes gift certificate value). Due to limited schedule availability, missed sessions will not be rescheduled, refunded, or credited.
