Make & Paint a Ceramic Valentine Plate!

Service Description

Happy Valentine's Day! All ages are invited to join us for a fun evening of customizing and painting a ceramic heart-shaped plate. Your project may be used as a plate, tray, or wall-hanging art. This is the perfect opportunity to get creative and make a special Valentine's Day gift for yourself or someone you love! $40 registration per person includes hot cocoa, cookies, and the freedom to carve, sculpt, add 3-D features, and paint one pre-made, heart-shaped clay plate approximately 9" x 9". Children under 8 may require parent assistance. One seat per registration (seating cannot be guaranteed for guests who do not register). After customizing the plates with carvings and 3-D features, participants will paint them, choosing from our selection of over 40 underglaze colors. Our staff will then dry, bisque-fire, clear-coat, then glaze fire each plate. Participants who have experience with our stoneware glazes may return after the bisque fire to glaze. Plates will be ready for pick-up by March 7th. Sunshine on Cedar is open right next door to the studio until 8:00pm serving food, beer, and wine. Place your order and they will serve you right in our studio! Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty! Refunds for cancellations less than 24 hours from the scheduled event will not be issued. Refunds for cancellations within 3 days of the event will be limited to $20 per person unless we can fill your seat.
