Service Description

This event is reserved for Arthur (group of 2) NOTE: PLEASE BRING STANDARD SIZE TOWELS SESSION 1 Friday, July 17th 11:00-1:00 Experiment with a pound of clay on the potter’s wheel and make your own pot! You will receive all of the instructions, guidance, and demonstrations needed for you to make your own pot, bowl, vase, or cup. This class is for beginners and anyone needing a refresher on the potter's wheel. The one-time wheel session covers the basics of throwing, including centering, opening, pulling, and shaping. Additional clay may be added on at $4 per pound (includes clay, bisque fire, glaze, and glaze fire). Open Studio time within 1 week is included (no charge) for additional surface decoration, such as stamping, carving, underglazing, etc. Want to learn how to trim your pot? For an additional $10 per person, you may schedule a 30 minute session within 5-7 days of throwing your pot to learn how to trim. Want to learn how to make and attach a handle or other 3D features? For an additional $10 per person, you may schedule a 45 minute session within 5-7 days of throwing your pot to learn how to make and attach a handle or other 3 dimensional features. SESSION 2 Return in 3-4 weeks to glaze with a selection of over 95 colors! Date to be determined. Choose from our GLAZE DAYS on our website. $65 registration fee per person includes everything; clay, potter's wheel demonstration & instruction, Open Studio for surface decoration, bisque fire, glaze instruction & materials, and glaze fire. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food safe, but a small selection are not, so guidance will be provided when glazing. Refunds for cancellations less than 24 hours from the scheduled event will not be issued. Refunds for cancellations or credit for rescheduling within 3 days of the event will be limited to $30 per person unless we can fill your seat.
