Potter's Wheel Experience -- LESSON ONLY

PLEASE DISREGARD JANUARY DATE Recommended for ages 10 and up SESSION 1 Text Jamie (805) 630-5685 to schedule Experiment with 1 or 2 pounds of clay on the potter’s wheel and learn how to form a bowl, vase, or small pot. This class is for beginners and anyone needing a refresher on the potter's wheel. The one-time wheel session covers the basics of throwing, including centering, opening, pulling, and shaping. $35 registration fee per person includes everything; clay, potter's wheel demonstration & instruction. SESSION 2 Not applicable. This class does not include glazing and keeping what you create. If you choose to keep what you make, you may add on an additional $30 for the bisque fire, glazing instruction, and glaze fire. This can be paid in person at the time of your lesson and glazing can be scheduled for 3-4 weeks after you make your pot. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food safe, but a small selection are not, so guidance will be provided when glazing. Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty and please bring your own towel because you’ll need it! Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Due to limited availability, missed or cancelled sessions may not be rescheduled or refunded.
