Service Description

Reserved for any potter who has beginner's experience in throwing (centering, opening, & pulling) These 6 sessions will provide a more experienced level of throwing with a focus on larger scale, intentional design, trimming, and shaping/attaching handles. We will begin with 2 pounds of clay and focus on coning to center. We'll create bowls, mugs, vases, pitchers, plates, and other intermediate forms. Glaze and keep up to 10 of your favorite pots! Open Studio is available for finishing greenware (trimming & carving) and glazing. All glazing must be completed within 30 days of the 6th session. This package includes clay, tools, unlimited open studio, glaze, bisque fire, and glaze fire. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food-safe, but a small selection are not, so please choose glazes accordingly. Please bring your own towel and/or apron. Missed sessions may not be rescheduled or refunded, but 2 hours of practice time on the wheel may be reserved if the schedule allows. A private lesson may be reserved with an intern for an additional $30 per hour. Level 2 may be repeated. Students who complete Level 2 are eligible to move on to Level 3. Students who complete levels 1, 2, and 3 are eligible to participate in our Level 4 Emerging Artist Program (sell your work in our studio!). All students are eligible to join our Member's Studio! Members receive 10% off all classes! If you are a member, text Jamie for the discount promo code!
