Service Description

Thank you for reserving your private even at Sandpoint Ceramics! Our vibrant studio is located inside the iconic Cedar Street Bridge and provides the perfect location to celebrate special events and spend time with family and friends. This private event includes the following: Up to 3 hours in the Community Clay Studio 4 POTTER'S WHEEL PASSES ($40 per person) CLAY- One pound of stoneware clay will be provided per person. You may purchase more clay in the studio at the rate of $4 per pound. The cost of additional clay includes the cost of additional glaze, larger shelf storage, and larger kiln space required for 2 firings. Wheel projects must be limited to no more than 4 pounds until further notice. Leftover clay will be recycled. Potters are responsible for clean-up. You may schedule Open Studio time within the following week to trim and make attachments if desired. TOOLS- Access to a large variety of tools, texture rollers, and stencils. GLAZE- Return in 3-4 weeks to glaze your work after it has been bisque-fired and choose from a selection of over 85 colors. OR choose one color per pot and our staff will glaze them for you ($10 per pot). 2 KILN FIRINGS-Bisque & glaze SGRAFFITO ($50 per person) 3 Sgraffito Tumblers with directions and demonstrations. Tumblers are premade on the potter's wheel right here in our studio and ready for your creative touch! Dimensions vary around approximately 3" wide x 4" tall with no handles. Choose from a selection of over 40 underglaze colors. Bring your own printed design, free-hand your carving, or choose from our selection of over 100 stencils. Open Studio time is available within 1 week for anyone needing more time. PAINT-A-POT! $15 per person plus the cost of the items selected ($5-$45 payment will be due at the time of the event). All projects will be ready for take-home approximately 3-4 weeks after the event to allow time for drying, bisque-fire, glazing, and glaze fire. Check our social media posts to see if yours is ready! Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty and please bring your own hand towels! Sunshine on Cedar is open right next door to the studio until 8:00pm serving food, beer, and wine. Place your order and they will serve you right here in our studio! Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. Refund will be limited to a maximum of $20 per person (not to exceed $100) unless we can fill the reservation with another private party.
