Service Description

Carve out some quality time for your special occasion! Your group will "clay" together, learn new skills, and create meaningful heirlooms and memories. Saturday, September 12th 10:00-12:00 With Jamie's guidance, each participant will create their own personalized mug, vase, bowl, or tumbler using the slab-building process. A variety of texture tools will be available to customize the surface, and participants will have creative freedom to carve or add any additional details they can imagine. Open Studio time will be available within one week for anyone wanting to work on their projects more. Projects must then dry slowly for 2 weeks before getting bisque-fired in the kiln. Then Jamie will glaze each project using one color per participant (guests may choose to come back and glaze their own projects about 3 weeks after the event if desired). Projects must then dry and get glaze-fired in the kiln. Everything will be take-home ready 1-2 weeks after glazing. This package ($60 per person) includes clay, tools, open studio, glaze, bisque fire, and glaze fire. All clay is stoneware, which is safe for food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Most glazes are food-safe, but a small selection are not, so please choose glazes accordingly. Up to 10 guests may register. At least 5 guests must be registered by September 1st to reserve the studio for this private event. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations after September 5th. We are very excited to have your group in the studio to celebrate this special occasion!
