WAITLIST Potter's Wheel Level 1 KIDS 9+

Service Description

PLEASE DISREGARD JANUARY 2027 DATE. THIS IS THE NOTIFICATION WAITLIST ONLY, NOT A CLASS :) SIGN UP HERE TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN WE ADD KIDS POTTER'S WHEEL LEVEL 1 CLASSES! Kids ages 9-17 will learn how to throw pottery on the wheel and make their own cups, bowls, and pots. Unlimited open studio hours for greenware and glazing are included. This small group class of 5 students will meet weekly for 2 hours of demonstrations, guided practice, independent practice, and clean-up. It is for beginners, but experienced kiddos are welcome! The first 5 sessions are on the potter's wheel and cover the basics of throwing, including wedging, centering, opening, pulling, shaping, and managing greenware. The 6th session introduces glazing. Students may select from our collection of over 95 glazes! Glazing may be completed during Open Studio sessions. All glazing must be completed within 30 days of the 6th session. NOTE: Students must be able to reach the pedal on the potter's wheel, follow directions well, and work/clean up independently. We're looking forward to getting your kiddos' hands in clay!
